SPRING/SUMMER 2012 IS A TURKISH DELIGHT
Arzu Tamturk grew up in the fashion industry working at her family’s textile company before launching her own company in 2008.
The contrasting mixture of growing up in a traditional Eastern culture within a very modern family adds an interesting element to
Arzu’s sense of style. Her experiences living in London, Milan and Istanbul are reflected in her feminine, fluid designs.
Wicce´s pieces are never limited to trends, rather they aim to encompass the philosophy of the brand; low-key but dashing, effortless
but always with romantic flair and whimsical detailing.
“Fabrics inspire me a lot”, Arzu has said, and this collection is no different. The Spring/Summer 2012 fabrics feature a “branch” print,
a cream cotton blend with “brush strokes” of a rich ocean blue “paint”, and a unique silkscreen creating the look of “shredded linen”.
The designer also displays her love of the subtle use of sequins to make her designs sparkle.
The entire Spring/Summer collection is an ode to Arzu’s summer home in the ancient port city of Bodrum, Turkey. “When I look at my
collection… I see the beauty of my town… its peaceful, yet dynamic spirit”. Arzu’s own words to describe her summer haven also perfectly
describe her latest collection, “simply beautiful”.
